Dr. Matthew Dirkse is a West Michigan native with a passion for helping the people and families of his community achieve optimal health through Chiropractic care and living a Chiropractic Lifestyle.
The deciding factor that pushed Dr. Matthew Dirkse to pursue a career in Chiropractic came when Dr. Matt was a young man of 16 and had a surfing accident on lake Michigan that changed the course of his life & health. At this young age he had seen his health take a significant down turn following the injury. It was only with the help of his first Chiropractor, and Chiropractic care, that he experienced a dramatic shift towards improved health and function. This experience “ignited” the passion for Chiropractic deep inside him that still burns bright today.
Following his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Dirkse returned to West Michigan to begin serving the Tri-Cities community. Dr. Matt and his wife Kate opened Health Zone Chiropractic in April 2007 and they have been working side by side ever since. Health Zone Chiropractic is designed as a place of healing and will help all who desire to live their life to their optimal health potential although families and pediatrics wellness is a primary focus. The clinic uses the latest state-of-the-art technology to help practice members accomplish their health goals.
